Katerina Panoutsopoulou – Systemic & Family Psychotherapist
My name is Katerina Panoutsopoulou and I am a Systemic – Family Psychotherapist with extensive experience in the field of mental health.
I was born in Greece and studied in the UK, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Bedfordshire and a Master’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy from The City University of London.
I have worked in nurseries, schools, day centers, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals in London, specializing in neuropsychiatric patients.
Upon returning to Greece, I worked in private therapeutic settings and in the American Community Schools (ACS), while also collaborating scientifically, for over a decade, with the Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics Unit – First Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, located at the “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital. There I had the opportunity to work closely with children and their families.
My specialization in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups reflects my deep interest in family dynamics and their impact on the individual’s development.
For the past ten years, I run my private practice in Nea Erythrea, providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both Greek and English, with in-person as well as online sessions.
My areas of expertise include:
• Anxiety disorders
• Depression
• Panic attacks
• Transitional life stages (e.g., adolescence, peri/menopause)
• Loss and grief
• Issues of self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-image
• Disordered eating
In addition, I actively participate in and organize talks and seminars aimed at raising awareness on mental health issues.
